Guidelines for Posting Content to Hi5

Hi5 does not allow percent character (%) inside an image tag src.

Whitelisting

If the widget is being hosted on a subdomain of http://gigya.s3.amazonaws.com, then it has automatically been whitelisted. However, if it’s being hosted elsewhere, you will have to follow the procedure outlined on their developer site: http://www.hi5networks.com/developer/whitelist.html. In addition, send an email to api-request@hi5.com including the following content: the domain where the widget is being hosted and your contact info.

(NOTE: Gigya has plans to improve Hi5 integration, so this is subject to change.)

Available Sections

The following is a list of the sections available for posting content to Myspace profile:

Content Sections: About, Interests, FavoriteMusic, FavoriteTVShows, FavoriteMovies, FavoriteBooks, FavoriteQuote.

You can restrict the list of sections displayed in the sections' selection dropdown by using the hi5Sections parameter.

Example:

To restrict Hi5 to show only the "About me" and "Favorite Music" sections, add the following to your configuration object:

hi5Sections:'About,FavoriteMusic'
